Welcome to the BLRGW website.

As requested by the Idaho Department of Water Resources, the Big Lost River Ground Water District was created on November 14, 2016.  Prior to this date  (and after) many hours have been spent with community members and in Board Meetings.  All of the water rights and developments within the 2,689 square miles (or 1,721,000 acres) are included in the newly formed Ground Water District.  These acres essentially cover all the water rights along the Big Lost River valley floor and tributaries from Thousand Springs Valley and Chilly-Barton Flats areas in the upper part of the basin, to the Arco and Butte City area in the southern end of the river basin.

The public Board Meetings are the 1st  Wednesday of each month. However, there has been a few occasions where the date has been postponed, etc.  Please contact the office to verify the meeting dates and times. Meetings are scheduled at the BIC Center in Arco, Idaho.

This site will continue to keep the community apprised of the meetings and projects of the BLRGWD.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact your Division Director,  the office at 208-591-3982.

(Open Mondays except for holidays 9:00-4:00.)

Or, contact Debbie on her cell at 208-731-9214.
